Easy Tomato Sauce


  • 2 tbsp preferred cooking oil (vegetable oil, butter, lard)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 onion         
  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 1 cup bone stock
  • 2 tsp chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a saucepan, melt the preferred cooking oil and add 1 tablespoon of water.
  2. Add one finely chopped onion and let it sweat for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add 1 cup of tomato juice and let the sauce cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add 1 cup of bone stock and let it boil for another 5 minutes.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of flour to thicken the sauce and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Turn off the stove and add chopped parsley.
  7. Serve it with a variety of cooked meats and vegetables.
