Delicious Semolina Pudding Topped With Vanilla Essence and Optional Cocoa Powder, a Comforting Dessert Treat for Any Occasion.

Semolina Pudding

Ingredients

  • 200 g (7 oz) semolina
  • 950 ml (34 oz) milk
  • 150 g (5,3 oz) sugar (adjust to taste between 150-250 g 5,5 oz- 9 oz)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • desired toppings (fruits, chocolate sauce, cereal, nuts, etc.)
  • optional: 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Directions

  1. Bring the milk to a simmer over low heat to avoid stickiness.
  2. Add a pinch of salt to the boiling milk.
  3. Slowly add the semolina to the boiling milk while continuously mixing to avoid lump formations.
  4. Cook the pudding on low heat for 15 minutes, or until it achieves the desired texture.
  5. Add sugar and blend well until sugar dissolves.
  6. Remove from heat, add 1 tsp of vanilla extract and let the flavors combine for 15 minutes.
  7. Garnish with desired toppings and serve. (fruits, chocolate sauce, fruit jelly, cereal, nuts, etc.)
  8. Can be served both hot or refrigerated.

Optional

  1. Divide the semolina pudding in two. 
  2. Add 2 tbsp of cocoa powder to half of the pudding and mix well for a delicious combination of chocolaty semolina pudding and a vanilla one.
