Delectable Chocolate Mug Cake, a Quick and Easy Treat With a Gooey Surprise, Topped With Optional Powdered Sugar or Whipped Cream.

Mug Cake


  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ⅛ tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped chocolate (chocolate chips)
  • pinch of salt


  1. In a microwave-safe mug, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  2. Add 3 tbsp of milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract and mix well until combined.
  3. Add finely chopped chocolate, or chocolate chips (brown or white) into the batter and blend.
  4. Microwave on high for 1,5-2 minutes, or until the mug cake has risen.
  5. Let it cool off for a minute and optionally add powdered sugar, whipped cream, or ice-cream.
  6. Serve while warm.
