Homemade Biscuits


  • 400 g (14 oz) flour
  • 135 g (4,7 oz) butter (can be replaced with lard)
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • a pinch of salt


  1. Cream the butter (lard) with sugar, vanilla extracts, eggs, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Add the flour over the buttery mixture and blend.
  3. Let the dough rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  4. Form biscuits of desired shapes and sizes with the help of a biscuit extruder or cookie cutters.
  5. Bake the biscuits on a cookie sheet topped with parchment paper at 160॰C/ 320॰ F for 20 minutes.
  6. Garnish the biscuits with powdered sugar or cinnamon.
  7. Serve the biscuits warm or cold with coffee, tea, or as an ingredient to other desserts.
