Hearty Celeriac Delight: Soup Magic


  • 500 g (1,1 lb) celeriac
  • 500 g (1,1 lb) potatoes
  • 3 onions
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground pepper
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 tbsp butter (vegetable oil)
  • thyme
  • rosemary


  1. Peel, wash, and dice the celeriac, potatoes, and onions.
  2. Saute all the chopped vegetables in 4 tbsp of butter for 5 minutes.
  3. Add 2 liters (0,43 gall) of water over the vegetables and let it boil for 30 minutes.
  4. Blend the vegetables either with a blender or a manual masher.
  5. Add 2 tbsp of lemon juice and season with salt, ground pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  6. Add finely chopped thyme and rosemary.
  7. Serve it with croutons or garlic toast.
