Easy Pesto Recipe


  • 60 grams (2 oz) of fresh basil
  • 60 grams (2 oz) parmesan
  • 120 ml (4 oz) olive oil
  • 40 grams (1,4 oz) toasted pine nuts (or toasted walnuts)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Chop or shred the basil very finely.
  2. Grate the parmesan and the toasted pine nuts.
  3. In a bowl, combine the finely chopped basil with grated parmesan and ground toasted pine nuts and add crushed garlic.
  4. Gradually add olive oil while continuously mixing, just like when making mayonnaise.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. If you own a food processor:
  • combine all the ingredients at the same time in the processor and shred them into fine pieces. 
  • Slowly add olive oil while continuously mixing until it’s well combined. 
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
