Ingredients
- 60 grams (2 oz) of fresh basil
- 60 grams (2 oz) parmesan
- 120 ml (4 oz) olive oil
- 40 grams (1,4 oz) toasted pine nuts (or toasted walnuts)
- 3 garlic cloves
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Chop or shred the basil very finely.
- Grate the parmesan and the toasted pine nuts.
- In a bowl, combine the finely chopped basil with grated parmesan and ground toasted pine nuts and add crushed garlic.
- Gradually add olive oil while continuously mixing, just like when making mayonnaise.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- If you own a food processor:
- combine all the ingredients at the same time in the processor and shred them into fine pieces.
- Slowly add olive oil while continuously mixing until itโs well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
