Onion Salad


  • 3-4 onions
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2-3 tomatoes
  • 1 salad head
  • 100 ml yogurt (Greek preferably)
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp honey (can be replaced by 1 ½ tsp sugar)
  • 1-2 tsp lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Wash, clean, and slice the onions into rings, sprinkle with vegetable oil, salt and pepper.
  2. Roast the onion rings in the preheated oven at 180° C (356 ° F) for 20 minutes on baking paper.
  3. In a large bowl, add sliced tomatoes and the cut green salad.
  4. Make a sauce out of yogurt, honey, and lemon juice.
  5. Add roasted onions over the tomatoes and green salad.
  6. Pour yogurt sauce over the salad and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve it cold.
