Hearty Greens: Dive Into Delicious Spinach Stew


  • 1 kg (35 oz) spinach
  • 500 g (17,6 oz) chicken breast
  • 1 onion (100 g – 3,5 oz)
  • 100 g (1 stick) butter
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley (dill, thyme)


  1. Saute one finely chopped onion in melted butter.
  2. Add chopped (ground) chicken breast and let it cook for 20 minutes on low heat.
  3. Add spinach and let it cook together with the meat for another 10 minutes.
  4. Mix 1 tbsp of flour with 3 tbsp of sour cream and 3-4 crushed garlic cloves.
  5. Pour the mixture over the spinach and blend.
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste and blend.
  7. Turn off the stove and garnish with finely chopped desired herbs.
  8. Serve it alone or alongside risotto, mashed potatoes, potato salads, cus-cus, etc.
