Ingredients
- 250 g (8,8 oz) flour
- 4 large eggs
- 50 g (1,7 oz) dark chocolate
- 180 g (6,4 oz) butter
- 180 ml (6,4 oz) maple syrup (can be replaced with 200 g / 7 oz sugar)
- 180 ml (6.4 oz) red wine (port)
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- pinch of salt
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine room-temperature butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt. Blend the ingredients thoroughly.
- Separately, beat the eggs and incorporate them into the butter composition.
- Add flour, chocolate chips, baking powder, and wine, and blend with care.
- Bake the batter in the preheated oven on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper at 180ยฐ C (356เฅฐF) for 45-50 minutes.
- Once baked, allow the cake to cool.
- Serve the cake cold, dusted with powdered sugar.
- Customize your experience by adding whipped cream, chocolate, or fruit sauces, according to personal taste.
