Savor the Essence of the Mediterranean: A Delectable Blend of Potatoes, Prosciutto, Olives, Onions, Bell Peppers, and a Zesty Vinaigrette.

Crafting a Perfect Mediterranean Salad


  • 1 kg (2,2 lb) potatoes
  • 250 g prosciutto (8,8 oz) (can be replaced with pancetta or ham)
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) olives
  • 2 onions
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • pinch of thyme
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • optional: 2 tbsp sour cream


  1. Wash and boil the potatoes on their skin for 35 minutes.
  2. Peel the potatoes from their skin, cut them into cubes, and add them in a large bowl.
  3. Cut the prosciutto (or the replacement), the onions, and the bell peppers julienne, and add them over the potatoes.
  4. Add olives.
  5. Make a vinaigrette out of 5 tbsp of olive oil, 3 tbsp vinegar, ½ tsp of thyme, and a pinch of ground pepper and pour it over the salad.
  6. Blend with care and season with salt.
  7. Serve. Additionally, you can also add 2 tbsp of sour cream when serving.
