Spiced Red Wine Blend Infused With Cinnamon, Peppercorns, Cloves, and Honey. A Festive and Flavorful Mulled Wine Recipe.

 Mulled Wine Recipe


  • 750 ml (26 oz/ 1 bottle) red wine (ex. Cabernet, merlot, feteasca neagra, malbec, zinfandel, etc. A semi-dry, semi-sweet type of wine-preferably)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 10 peppercorns
  • 10 cloves
  • 5 tbsp honey (can be replaced with 6 tbsp sugar)
  • 100 ml water


  1. In a large pot, add 100 ml water, 10 cloves, and 10 peppercorns, and boil the mixture for a few minutes.
  2. Remove the pot from any source of heat, add 5 tbsp honey and blend well.
  3. Add wine while continuously stirring and put the mixture back to simmer on very low heat for a few minutes.
  4. When the wine starts to develop foam, turn off the stove and let the wine mixture rest with the lid on for a minimum of 10 minutes.
  5. Serve hot.
