Super Easy Olive Salad in a Jar


  • 100 g (3,5oz) black olives
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) green olives
  • 100 g (3,5 oz) red olives
  • 1 red onion (can be replaced with white onion)
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of pepper
  • pinch of thyme


  1. In a large jar add the seedless olives, red, green, and black.
  2. Add one very finely chopped onion.
  3. Add the juice from 1 lemon.
  4. Add 2 tbsp of olive oil.
  5. Season with a pinch of salt, pepper, and thyme.
  6. Shake the jar well until the salad is well blended.
  7. Serve.

Serving suggestions

  • as a part of an appetizer platter with cheeses, cured meats, and crusty, crunchy bread. 
  • alongside grilled vegetables, chicken, fish, or lamb. 
  • in a mezze platter next to hummus and tzatziki.
